There are two kinds of cars in the park of Bipenggou - Park Buses and Sightseeing Electric Cars (Golf Cars). Park bus serves the section from the entrance of the scenic spot to the Shanghaizi Tourist Center. It is a mandatory ride because the driving distance is 26 kilometers. The other transport is Sightseeing Electric Cars. There are two sections of these electric cars. One is from upper end terminal of the bus (Shanghaizi Tourist Center) to Moon Lake, the second section starts from Moon Lake to Yanziyan. It is not mandatory to take the Sightseeing Electric Cars but it saves walking for total 9km on boardwalk in the forest.
Tourists have to take Park Buses from the entrance of the park to the Shanghaizi Tourist Center. The cost of the Park Bus ride is included in the entrance ticket, which is 150 yuan/person. The whole journey is about 30 kilometers, which takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour by bus, with midway stops for about 10 minutes at the attractions of Longwanghai, Namu Lake and Hongshitan for tourists to take photos. It can only reach Namu Lake in winter when some of the attractions are closed.
Operating hours: May 1st - September 30th, 7:00-18:00; October 1st - April 30th, 7:30-17:00

At the Shanghaizi Tourist Center, you can choose whether to take this electric car or walk. There are two sections - Shanghaizi to Moon Bay (ie, Yangyang Lake), and Moon Bay to Yanziyan, each of which is charged separately, 20 yuan/pp single way and 30yuan pp round ways. Both sections of the electric cars are around 4.5km with total 9km single way. One can use cars for all the transfer or one can choose to ride up and walk down or walk up and ride down. Electric cars tickets are sold by site and not sold by the tourist centre by the entrance. It is nice to walk the forest on boardwalk in summer and autumn time. While in winter and early spring the boardwalk maybe covered in snow. You are recommended to make sufficient preparations such as gaitors if you wish to walk in winter time due to heavy snow. The whole walking trail is basically on boardwalk and it is not steep but rather gradual and comfortable.
