Getting to/around Danba

Danba is located 320km west to the capital city Chengdu of Sichuan Province. By driving it takes 7-8 hours. At present the best way to get to Danba from Chengdu is by bus. Normally visitors to a circuit trip to Danba starting from Mount Siguniang. There is no train or flight to Danba available. A biking trip from Chengdu to Danba is also recommended to active travelers.

From Chengdu to Danba

By Bus

There are 2 buses scheduled to Danba from Chengdu everyday. One bus departs Chengdu by Chengbei Bus Station by 7:00. One bus departs Chengdu by 10:30 from Chadianzi Bus Station every morning. Bus ticket costs about 150 yuan per person and it will usually take about 6-7 hours from Chengdu to Danba by bus. Although one can get to Mount Siguniang first and have a visit there before go to Danba. We offer bus ticket booking service to Danba.

Getting from Danba back to Chengdu

By Bus

It will also take about 7-8 hours by bus. There are in total 2 scheduled buses to Chengdu from Danba. Ticket costs about 150 yuan per person. One schedules at 6:30 in the morning and the other one is at 9:00 in the morning. The bus is at Danba Bus Station.

By shared taxi

Shared taxi is available from Danba to Chengdu. You can find them at two places in Danba: Caihong Bridge or Xihe Bridge. Usually it costs you 200-300 yuan per person and it usually takes shorter time to get to Chengdu.

Getting from Danba to Kangding

There are 2-6 scheduled buses from Danba to Kangding each day depending on the season. First schedule starts at 8:00 in the morning and the last one is at around 16:00. Bus ticket costs around 80 yuan per person. It takes about 3-4 hours to get from Danba to Kangding. Shared taxi is also available in Danba to Kangding. From Kangding you can go further to Mount Gongga, Xinduqiao, Daocheng, etc.

Getting from Danba to Mount Siguniang

Shared taxi is the popular and easy way to get to Mount Siguniang from Danba. You can try find shared taxi by Caihong Bridge or Xihe Bridge in the town. Although you can also use the bus to Mount Siguniang. The ones from Danba to Chengdu will pass Mount Siguniang where you can get off the bus.

Getting from Danba to Jiuzhaigou

If you want to go to Jiuzhaigou from Danba without stopping somewhere, you need to go to Dujiangyan or Chengdu first, and from where use the bus to Jiuzhaigou.

Getting from Danba to Sertar

You need to transfer at Barkam from Danba to Sertar by bus. There are schedules from Danba to Barkam every morning by 6:30 and 7:00. Shared taxi is also available. And from Barkam use the bus at 7:20 everyday in the morning.
