Daocheng is the biggest/nearest town in Yading, the name of the famous travel destination is called Daocheng Yading, which Yading is actually the park and Daocheng is the name of the town near Yading Park. Hotels in Shangri-La Town (Riwa)

There were people who slept on the floor because they didn’t plan ahead. The hostels in Yading are very basic. Some are with attached bathroom but still quite basic Chinese toilet. The elevation of yading village is about 3900 meters, making the stay there even less comfortable. The food is also not as tasty as what you can have in Riwa or Daocheng. And plus the prices are not cheap. Bottled water and simple snacks are available in Yading village.

Inside Yading Park

After yading village it is the actual park of Yading. After the bus terminal in Yading, there are no place to stay for overnight except you want to do some camping, however, camping is not allowed inside the park, the park refers to where of normally where 99% of the visitors can get to. After the pass of Songduo, which is visible from Milk Lake, you can camp anywhere over there. Food is available in the park but it is expensive and it tastes like they’ve been putting the food inside unwashed socks for 3 days. Snacks and drinks are available below Luorong Ranch. Prepare day food for yourself is necessary while inside the park.
