Langtso - The Frog Lake

Langtso Lake is inside the park of Yading. But no one is there.

Langtso is also called Frog Lake. It is the second largest Lake in Yading Nature Reserve. It is located 4km west to Yading Village, a walk of 2 hours can get you there from Yading village. From Langtso you can see the peak of Chenrezig and part of Chenadorje.

This lake is not officially open to visitors but people can go there. There used to be local Tibetan people running horse-riding service from Yading village to take people there. So if you stay in Yading Village, you can ask your hotel if they have resource to take you there or to find someone to take you there. You will need a minimum of 6 hours for this tour to Frog Lake. Please note the trail is completely wild trail and it is better to have some local people as your guide.
