Mt. Chenrezig is within the park of Yading. It is called Xiannairi in local language.
Mt. Chenrezig is one of the 3 holy mountains and is the tallest one and the mountain at the north. With Five-color Lake and Milk Lake at its south and Pearl Lake at its north.
Mt. Chenrezig along with two other holy mountains in Yading (located at the junction of Muli Tibetan Autonomous County in Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province and Daocheng County in Ganzi Prefecture, is one of the three gods in the hearts of local Tibetans). One of the most beautiful and stunning top ten famous mountains in China. The three gods - Jampayang, Chenrezig, Chenadorje are the guardian mountains of Yading Tibetans, North Peak Mt. Chenrezig means "Guan Yin Bodhisattva" (6032 meters), South Peak Mt. Jampayang "Manjusri Bodhisattva" (5958 meters), East Peak Mt. Chenadorje "Vajra Hand Bodhisattva" (5958 meters).
It is said that if Tibetans can worship the mountain three times, they can realize the wishes of this life. The scenery seen along the mountains is a paradise on earth, snow mountains, highland lakes, stunning walls, grasslands, rivers and valleys. Mt. Chenrezig is the first of the three peaks of Yading, ranks the fifth tallest in Sichuan mountains, with 6032 meters above sea level. As the local poems put it: the sword cuts straight into the sky, the peak name means "Kuan Yin Bodhisattva". Surrounded by glacial peaks, glaciers and mountain lakes. The entire snow-capped mountain is a ring-shaped ice bucket with an oblique shape, so when we look at the sides, the mountain always faces the viewers.
