Pearl Lake (Jormalatso/Zhuoma Lacuo )

Pearl Lake is located within the park of Yading. It is called Zhenzhu Hai by locals.

Pearl Lake is also called Zhuoma Lacuo and it is the smallest lake and a green lake located by the foot of Mt. Chenrezig 1km southwest to Chonggu Temple.

Zhuoma Lacuo means "fairy, ferry mother", and Cuo has the meaning of the lake, Haizi, so Zhuoma Lacuo is also called the Dumu Lake (Pearl Lake). Zhuoma La cuo is 4,100 meters above sea level and covers an area of 0.75 hectares. A long time ago, at the foot of Mt. Chenrezig, there was originally a very large lake and grandually the lake became smaller and becoming today's Peal Lake.
