Leshitso (Snake Lake/Risheng Lake)

Leshitso is located outside of official Yading Tourist Park. It is also called Snake Lake or Risheng Lake.

It is 5km west to over the pass of Milk Lake. Normally visitors to Yading don't go this far. It is not even on the Small Kora Trek of Yading but it is the biggest lake of Yading.

Snake Lake is located on the west slope of Yangmaiyong, at an altitude of 4,500 meters.

Snake Lake is located on the west slope of Yangmaiyong, at an altitude of 4,500 meters. The 7-hectare ancient ice bucket lake is the largest plateau lake in the scenic area. The lake is green-color not as turquoiese as Milk Lake nor 5-color Lake. The scenery is beautiful by Snake lake. It feels closer to Mt. Yampayang and one can see both Mt. Yampayang and Mt. Chenrezig from Snake Lake.

In the dry season, you can see the bottom of the lake. The place is also a meditation place.
