Food from Maluqiao Night Market of Emei
When you are staying by the base of Emei near Emeishan City you will most likely find restaurants near your hotel. If you want to try the best of Sichuan food and don’t want to miss out the good Sichuan food then you can consider to go to Maluqiao Food Street in Emei and explore food there while traveling to Mt. Emei. Maluqiao is a food street that has dozens of restaurants that you can sit down and order food instead of food stalls. Many restaurants used to cater mostly to local people but now largely to visitors. Most restaurants will have tables and chairs outside by the streets, which is quite common in Sichuan. Some restaurants may look messy but taste good. A lot of the food provided here are spicy. The food market opens by around late afternoon and stays til before midnight.
Another food quarter by the base of Mt. Emei is near Baoguosi near the Baoguosi bus station.
Food options on top of Emei is limited but you can always find places to by food normally snacks. By the busy part from Leidongping to the cable car station there are plenty of food stalls you can buy food. There are also some hotels by Leidongping bus terminal where you may also find restaurants. By the summit there are also food shops you may find snacks.
