Mt. Emei Classic Leisure Hike - 2 days

This tour covers Leshan Buddha and Mt. Emeishan and will have one night in Emei. Firstly, we will drive for about 2 hours to Leshan city to see the famous Giant Buddha. After arrivel we will check in and walk the Buddha Park. Sculptured on the cliff facing River, Leshan Giant Buddha is 71 meters high, and has sit here for more than one 1200 years. We will firs walk around the Buddha by its head part and then walk down the stars along the river side to get to the feet of the Buddha Statue. From the feet of the statue we shall see the size of the Buddha in close range. After a short break by the feet we will walk back from the feet on stairs and go visit Linyun Temple before start to go out. We will have around total 2 hours' visit at Leshan Buddha Park depending on the crowd. Afterwards we drive about 40 minutes to the next Buddhist kingdom – Emeishan. After arrival we will first take a short visit to Baoguosi Temple, one of the most important temples in Emei. Baoguosi is one of most influential Buddhist temples of Emeishan. After the visit drive to check in hotel by the base of Emei.

Emei is a well-developed tourist place. You can walk around your hotel after dinner. Your guide will suggest on where to walk if you like.

Today is a full day visiting on Emeishan. Start early we will first use our car to drive to the tourist center of Emei and from there check in by taking tourist bus to the upper station – Leidongping where you hike about 1.5km to get to the Jieyingting Cableway Station. Then we will take cableways to the top of Emeishan – Golden Summit where we can see golden Buddha statue, grandiose temples, endless stretching cloud sea, etc. After the sightseeing around the summit we will start to go back down the mountai. We can either choose to start late this day and have more time by the summit or we can go to visit more of Emei to Wannian temple especially when the weather is not so good on the summir. If we go to Wannian then we take bus back to the central part mountain at Wannian by no later than 1pm and start to walk to Wannian Temple. Wannian temple is keeping a precious Saddharmapundarika Sutra gifted by the emperor of Thailand in Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644). After the visit by Wannian we will start to hike from Wannian Temple to Qingyin Pavilion and then to Wuxiangang Car Park, then use bus to come out. Total hiking for around 2 - 2.5h medium pace. We will then drive back to Chengdu. Tour ends.
