Tsoka Lake (Cuoka Lake)

Tsopu Park is also called Tsopugou (Tsopu Valley), or Zhopu Valley, Zhopu Lake. Before 2020 it was a wild valley with monasteries and beautiful lakes and mountains. From 2020 it has been built into a tourist park that an entrance fee is requried to visit and has a more organized visiting.

Tsoka Lake

Tsoka Lake, located in Mari Township, Xinlong County, Ganzi Prefecture, Sichuan Province, is 32 kilometers away from the town of Xinlong. Tsoka Lake is locally called Tsokahaizi, and also known as Zandutso Namah. The Tibetan language means black colored lake water among the rocks, which means "emerald. It is a freshwater lake with an area of about 3 square kilometers. Tsoka Lake is not very big, but it has a variety of landscapes: blue sky, white clouds, green trees, green mountains, and red temples. This lake is often very quiet. When it is sunny, the lake water presents different levels of green, reflecting the Tsokha Temple, green pine forest and colorful Tibetan houses by the lake, which is extremely peaceful.

The lake is at 3800-m above sea level and entrance fee is 10 yuan per person. Every car will be charged a 20/yuan for parking. It is only accessed by a small road that only small cars can drive up. So if you use bus then need to use local small car transfer to go to the lake. Tsoka Lake is very small.
