Eye of Genyen (Genie)

Eye of Genyen refers to a small round lake by the village up Naigando in Genyen. It is a new spot of interest and has become popular in China. It is located 20 meters by the road between village of Zetong and Village of Naiganduo, a village that is 75km from town of Litang that takes around 2 hours to get to from Litang.

At present (2020) this place is free of charge and is available to visit all year round. Note this visit is usually combined with other places of interest for example if you are on a photo tour, you normally also go to Langtso Lake, and village south of Genyen. Or normally people on a trekking tour starting from Lenggu Monastery will usually pass here. It is not worth to drive for 2 hours from Litang to solely see this lake and go back for another 2 hours. Genyen is a place that you drive in and drive out normally by the same way, unless you walk out doing a trekking tour.
