Panda Birthday Party in Wolong Panda Base

On July 19th, the China Giant Pandas Reservation Center at the Panda Base of Wolong held a birthday for the pandas. From July to September every year, it is the concentrated breeding season and birthday season for all captive giant pandas. In order to popularize the scientific knowledge of giant pandas and improve the social participation in biodiversity conservation, the giant panda birthday season enrichment activity hosted by the Panda Center was held in Wolong Shenshuping Base on the 19th. Recently, giant pandas such as "Fubao", "Little Miracle" and "Taishan", which had their birthday, enjoyed a rich "summer gift". The panda center keeper introduced that Fengrong(enrichment on food/environment) can increase the freshness and curiosity of captive animals towards their living environment, helping them reduce stereotyped behavior. By enriching the environment, food, cognition, perception, and community, the life and environment of giant pandas are enriched, which helps to fully display their nature and lead a healthy and happy life.
