We received latest news from the Monitoring Team of China Giant Panda Research Center in Liziping National Nature Reserve that Hua Jiao has moved his habitat to bamboo mountain regions which is about 2800 meters above sea level in Shi Mian County, Ya’an of Sichuan. Data and signals received from GPS necklace shows that Hua Jiao is living very well in the wild. She is healthy and energetic.

Hua Jiao was sent back to wild on November 19, 2015, and firstly stretched her legs nearing her “liberated place” - Mamadi, then gradually moved her habitat eastwards and upwards. The Monitoring Team caught the scene that Hua Jiao was eating bamboo in the late 2015. But this year, it becomes difficult to see Hua Jiao because the place where she usually haunts become more and more wild and complicated and at the same time, Hua Jiao is very vigilant after getting back to nature. When the Monitoring Team attempted to get closer, She run away and disappeared quickly. All these conditions shows that Hua Jiao has completely adapted to the wild environment.
According to plan, China Giant Panda Research Center will recapture Hua Jiao this year to change the GPS necklace. But it seems that to seize Hua Jiao is becoming more and more difficult as she goes further and is becoming wilder and wilder.
On the other hand, another Giant Panda, named as Hua Yan, is going to be sent back to wild in this spring. The panda is under the last period of re-wild training. Good luck to Hua Yan.
