On May 3, China Zoo Association and Copenhagen Zoo signed the China-Denmark Giant Panda Protection and Research Co-operation Agreement in Beijing. According to the agreement, the Giant Pandas He Xing and Mao Sun in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding will be sent abroad to Denmark and live in Copenhagen Zoo for a 15 years’ Giant Panda research co-operation. To accommodate two Giant Pandas, the Copenhagen has spent one hundred fifty million CNY to build a Giant Panda Zoo which covers an area more than 2,450 square meters. Since November, 2015, Copenhagen Zoo has sent many groups of its staffs to China to learn about how to protect, feed, breed Giant Panda, even learn to speak Chinese so that they can communicate with Giant Panda Expert from China in the future.

He Xing is a male panda. It was born on July 23, 2013, and now weighs about 118 kilograms. His farther is Giant Panda Yong Yong, and mother is Giant Panda Cheng Gong. He is very naughty all the time. Female Panda Mao Sun was born on July 26, 2014. She weighs about 98 kilograms. Her father is Xiong Bang, and mother is Fu Wa. The 3-year old Mao Sun is gentle and quiet. She always prefer staying alone mostly on the tree. She is very popular among panda fans.
