Opening Ceremony of Yabuli Panda Zoo

On July 18th, China Yabuli Giant Panda Zoo opened for public, as the northernmost panda zoo in China. Two Giant Pandas, You You(male) and Si Jia(female) made their first appearance on public occasion at the opening ceremony. They just moved to Yabuli on July 5th. Yabuli is a small town in Heilongjiang Province, about 200km from Harbin City. The opening of the Yabuli Panda Zoo is an important event as a milestone marking the great attempt of helping Giant Panda inhabiting in northernmost China - circumpolar latitude, lower temperature.

Giant Panda You You

You You is 8 years old while the girl Si Jia is 10 years old. They are both the progenies of the famous panda star - Pan Pan. To create a cozy livable home for You You and Si Jia, Yabuli Panda Zoo instructed two modern "bedrooms" with air-conditioner. A capacious garden with swimming pool, wooden stages for playing, many trees and grasses. The Panda Kitchen will prepare nutrient foods for panda every day, including fresh bamboo, apple, cake, carrots, etc. Also a small Panda Clinic is equipped in the zoo.
