Travelling to Haluogou the place to sleep overnight is by Moxi Town. At present this small town has developed into a very busy tourist town with many hotels and hostels, restaurants, etc. Moxi is the base of Hailuogou Glacier Park, visits to Hailuogou will need to start from Moxi. It is very easy to find accommodations in Moxi. But in busy travel season if you don't book rooms in advance, there may not be rooms left even though there are so many hotels here. If the rooms are booked out, you can try the following ways to find hotels: 01, to drive for about 1.5 hours to Luding to find accommodations; 02. to drive for 2 hours to Shimian to find hotels. It is always good to plan things ahead of time especially when you travel in busy season.
Inside Hailuogou Park the accommodation is limited. Below Camp 1 there is a village where you can find local guesthouses and homestays. The Gongga Hot Spring Hotel is also located in the village. A Camp 2 there are no hotels. At Camp 3 there is only one hotel available and it is usually full-booked. Price of this hotel is high but it is right at Camp 3 where you can wake up in very beautiful morning.
Food options are plenty in Moxi Town. Inside Hailuogou Glacier Park there are limited option on food. There are food stalls at Ganheba the cable car terminal and at Camp 4. Other than these there are no places inside the park where you can find food.
