Since September 2024 the fast train is available to Jiuzhaigou (Huanglong Jiuzhai) from Chengdu (East). The trip takes only 2 hours from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou (by Chuanzhusi at Huanglong Jiuzhai Train Station). This new opened train station has made the trip even shorter to Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong Park from Chengdu. The formerly opened Zhenjiangguan train station in Songpan will have around 3.5 hours drive to the park of Jiuzhaigou and now from the new train station the drive is only 2 hours. There are total 6 schedules of train from Chengdu to Jiuzhai Station and may even have more during holiday season. Low Season is from November to the next May, Busy season is from June to October.

Zhenjiangguan train station is still in operation but now only as a small stop and most trains don't make stop there anymore. Alternatively and more conveniently travelers usually go to Songpan Train Station or Huanglong Jiuzhai Train Station that alllow travelers to have shorter driving to both Huanglong Park and Jiuzhaigou Park after train.

Songpan Train Station is newly opened and now in operation. There are total 4 schedules of trains between Chengdu and Songpan everyday.
From Songpan Train Station drive to Jiuzhaigou Park is 110km takes 2.5h if no traffic. From Songpan Train Station to Huanglong Park it takes around 1 hour if no traffic. From Songpan Railway Station drive to Mounigou takes 0.5h. From Songpan Train Station drive to Maoxian Town takes 2 hours 45 minutes if no traffic. From Songpan Train Station drive to Dagu Glacier takes around 4 hours if no traffic.
