Yuzixi is a photo/view place of west face of Minya Konka Range. It has gained popularity in the last few years and has become very crowded during the golden season for sunset photography. It is located near the famous tourist town of Xinduqiao and it is not officially a tourist park but rather an enclosed top part of the rolling mountains south to Tagong Grassland and northwest to Zheduoshan Road pass. It is believed to be one of the best places to see glows on Minya Konka Mountains by sunset.
Yuzixi is not a tourist park but it maybe more crowded than a tourist park. It is a very hyped place on social media. If you don’t wish to be part of the crowd this place is not recommended for you, there are other places that are quiet and with similar views but require walking. Yuzixi Above Chumo Gompa Monastery
Yuzixi is located 30km north to Xinduqiao and by driving it takes 40 minutes to 1 hour to get to. The road is accessed by small car only (preferably off-road SUVs) and not okay for bigger vans or buses. Please note you are recommended to arrive the place before 5pm and save some safe time for traffic. There is vehicle available for renting from Xinduqiao to get up here. We can make arrangement for your Yuzixi detour transfer, please send your inquiry to us.

1. It is highly possible that you may stuck in the traffic and miss the sunset if you go there too late. The road by the very end is very bumpy and tight.
2. This place is also good during daytime not just for sunset if you just wish to see the mountains.
3. Please be aware of the high altitude here at over 4000m. If you are staying here for long hours please make sure you have warm clothes, drinking water with you especially during colder seasons.
4. Traveling during summer (June to August) will have a lower chance of seeing the mountains than other seasons.
5. There is no food/shop available by Yuzixi, please make plans accordingly.
