Majiagou

Majiagou Valley is called Majiagou. Majiagou is a cluster of wild valleys. It is an undeveloped park of quiet forest, beautiful rivers and lakes, unknown mountains, etc. Majiagou is not as famous as the neighboring Mt. Siguniang or Bienggou Park, its beauty is its wilderness. Majiagou is located in Daban Village in Xiaojin County in Ngawa Prefecture. It is located 80km north to Xiaojin, 110km northwest to Siguniang Park (four sister mountain).

Entrance of Majiagou is at 3100m. Its main attractions inside the valleys include Moon Lake (Yuelianghu), Waterfall, 5-color Lake, Sechu River, Haizi Lake, etc. The main valley is 15km long. Majiagou is also home to some 5000+m mountains and even glaciers. The side valleys in Majia are even more wild and less-explored and home to many more lakes and mountains. Some side valleys are too far to get to.

Moon Lake is one of the highest sites inside Majiagou Valley. It is located at an elevation of around 4000 meters. One has to walk up to the lake. In autumn the color of trees turn into golden and is the best season to see this place. Sechu River runs down the valley of Majiagou and is clean and beautiful river.
