Songpinggou is a park of turquoise lakes and colorful forests located in NW of Maoxian County in Ngawa Prefecture. The formation of the lakes in Songpinggou is from former big earthquake. The highlights of the park include the mountains in the background (Fugui Mountain and Lion Mountain), lakes (5-color lakes, lower and upper Diexi Lakes), formation of the landscape and waterscape, forest (red and yellow forest in autumn), Yu'er Village and forest.
The main sights include Bala Lake, 5-color Lake, Baishi Lake, Mo Lake, Long Lake, Pearl Lake. The first sight into the park is Baishi Lake, the biggest lake in Songpinggou Park. Baishi Lake is named after a white rock (Baishi). Boat tour is available in the park.
