Dujiangyan Panda Base Volunteer Booking

Panda Volunteer Work direct booking is now available. We (Sichuan Travel Guide) can book volunteer program directly from Dujiangyan (or Wolong) Panda Base for you and your group. Please read below details and send us your inquiry.

Booking Notes:
• 1, All panda volunteers need to book your spot at least 6 days ahead of time.
• 2, Panda Volunteer work is not available from 15th June to 15 August (some years to 25th August) every year. (This is largely due to the vast numbers of school students having summer trips as panda volunteers. All panda bases will be accommodating these students and thus won't be taking any bookings elsewhere).
• 3, All panda volunteers need to be between 8 and 70 years old (by BIRTHDATE not by year). Any younster below 16 y/o will need an adult to accompany for the work.
• 4, In the panda volunteer program, volunteers WON"T BE GETTING CLOSE to any panda, volunteer WON"T INERACT with any panda. The "feeding panda", "hugging parnda" is no longer allowed and no longer part of any volunteer program. Please be aware of this before you sign up.
• 5, After booking, it is non-changable and non-cancelable. (Please be ware of this!)
• 6, Volunteers need to follow the instructions of the workers from panda base. Otherwise you won't be allowed to proceed with your work.
• 7, No wearing of skirts, sleepers, strong perfume during the work.
• 8, All volunteers should meet Health Requirement from Panda Base.
• 9, For non-mandarin speakers, panda base will require such volunteers to be accompanied by a translator during the work. You will need to hire a translator/English-speaking guide by yourself.

Please Note:As an tour agent, we can help travelers to book volunteer spots. But we will charge a service fee of CNY300 on top of the listed price on each volunteer. Please be aware of this and if you don't accept this please don't send us inquiry.

Panda Volunteer Work Booking Process

• 1, Confirm your group size, travel date and sent us inquiry;
• 2, You will be contacted by us and after confirm on details please send your passport information [full name, passport number, nationality , gender and dob];
• 3, After booking the spots and sorting the health requirements for you, we will send you booking number and digital pass of your panda volunteer program and send you instructions on who to check in;
• 4, We will suggest and help on arranging transfer and English-speaking translator or guide for you if you need.

Additional Information

• 1, If you don't speak mandarin and don't wish to hire a translator, the panda base may refuse to allow you to do volunteer work.
• 2, Except the non-bookable seasones (15 June to 25 August), the busy seasons for volunteer work include major holidays in China (1st week of Jan, 1st week of May, 1st week of October) are recommended to be avoided if possible, the other busy seasons include the rest of June and the rest of August;
• 3, We strongly recommend you to book this ahead of time in advance at least 4 weeks before your travel date.
