Look for wild pandas in the actual panda habitat with a local experienced panda guide. This trip is 2 days but can be extended. The chance of seeing a wild panda is around 5%. This trip is unique in its nature and it is not an established tour that is done by other people. We recommend you to combine this tour to a bird watching activity if possible due to the low chance of seeing pandas.
Book NowDrive to Wolong in the early morning on day01 and start by a short local transfer up to end of road and start to walk. The drive from Chengdu takes about 2 hours. It is hard walking up the mountain so please make sure you are prepared for this. The walking usually starts by around 2200m and will go up to around 3000m and then drop back to 2200m with a distance between 10km and 16km total. Please do prepare strong walking shoes, walking poles, waterproof jackets and pants, hats and insect sprays for wet conditions. During the search we need to pack light and have one-day's supply of water and food. You'll be guided by your guide. By the second day in the afternoon you will be transfered back to Chengdu.
