Chengdu Food Quarters Half Day Tour

This is a half day activity exploring the food quarters of Chengdu. Activity will cover People’s park, Kuanzhai Alley and Jinli Street.

Your day will start at People’s park to see the life of Chengdu people first. An optional tea drinking is available in the park, this is also to see how Chengdu people waste/spend their time. People’s park has been one of the local sites in Chengdu to see when traveling here. There is also a black market match-making corner. After the visit we will go to Kuanzhai Alley to have a look of the old-style houses and its food quarters. Kuanzhai Alley is a re-built traditional street with many traditional style houses from around 100 years ago. We will walk the old blocks to see both Kuan and Zhai alleys.

Afterwards we will go to Jinli Old Street to explore the big food street of Chengdu. We will explore the food quarters in Jinli and try its many kinds of food and snacks. In this tour you may just forget about lunch because you will probably be eating all the time during the tour. Jinli is one of the must-see places in Chengdu with its tasty local food, traditional style houses. Jinli is ranked as the top 3 places in Chengdu

After the tour, you will be sent back to your hotel or any location you prefer in the city.

This activity is in total around 4-5 hours. It can either be in the morning or in the afternoon. If in the morning then it will start by around 9am and finish by around 1-2pm. If in the afternoon then it will start by 2pm and finish by around 6-7pm. You can consider combining this activity to other activities such as cooking session, Sichuan Opera, etc.
