How to Get from Mt. Siguniang (Rilong) to Dujiangyan

Dujiangyan is on the way between Mt. Siguniang and Chengdu.

For people who wish to tour Siguniang and then Jiuzhaigou by public bus, then you can come back to Dujiangyan and then to Jiuzhaigou instead of coming back to Chengdu all the way.

There are two buses from Xiaojin to Chengdu and there are also two buses from Xiaojin to Dujiangyan. Buses go to Chengdu will normally have a stop by Dujiangyan. Dujiangyan is on the road from Mt. Siguniang to Chengdu. Bus ticket costs less than 80 yuan although it may differ in different seasons.

Using bus from Mt. Siguniang to Dujiangyan will be the same bus that goes back to Chengdu but only with a stop by Dujiangyan. Note the place the bus drops you off at Dujiangyan is by the exit of the motorway in Dujiangyan, not at Dujiangyan bus station. By the exit of Dujiangyan motorway, there is nothing there, no public bus no taxi to take you to your destination in the city of Dujiangyan nor to Qingchengshan. You are recommended to pre-arrange some transfer for this transfer to save the hassel.

From where the bus usually drops off passengers at Dujiangyan, it is around 10km to the center part of Dujiangyan city, and around 25km to Qingchengshan. If you booked hotels there, try ask the hotel to arrange you a transfer. There are city buses available about 500 meters next to the exit of motorway. Bus route No.14 taks you to Dujiangyan fast train station in about 20 minutes. Bus route No. 1a and No.8 take to you Dujiangyan Irrigation System park for about 30 minutes and the park is just next to the center of Dujiangyan.

From Dujiangyan you can do the panda volunteer work there or visit Dujiangyan Irrigation system or go to Qingchengshan, or go to the north to Bipenggou, Dagu Glacier, Songpan, Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. Read more information about Dujiangyan Bus Station >>
