In Haizigou Valley
Daihaizi Lake is located in Haizi Valley and it is 12km from the entrance of Haizigou Valley. It is the biggest lake of Mt. Siguniang and the size of 800m*400m. The altitude of Dahaizi Lake is 3700 meters. Dahaizi means the big lake. The water is at its highest in summer and in winter the surface of lake freezes.
Huahaizi Lake is located in Haizi Valley 2km further from Dahaizi Lake. Huahaizi Lake is rather a swampy part of the valley in dry season but in summer it is with lots of water and also very beautiful. Huahaizi means the colorful lake. Huahaizi Lake is at the altitude of 3800m.
Rhino Lake is located at Haizigou Valley at the altitude of 4300 meters and it is a 2-day hike to get there from the entrance of the Haizi Valley with a total of about 24km. Camping is required to reach the lake. From Rhino Lake one can see the east face of Mt. Siguniang Yaomei Peak.
Shuanghaizi Lake is located in Haizigou Valley and another 4km further north to Rhino Lake. Shuanghaizi Lake is at the altitude of 4600m to 4700m. Shuanghaizi means two lakes where there are in fact 2 lakes. It is also about 2 days to hiking to get to and it requires camping as well.
Bagepeng Lake is located in Haizigou Valley at the elevation of 4500 meters. It is a small lake but it provides excellent reflection photo of Mt. Siguniang Yaomei Peak. Camping is required to go to this lake and it is usually 1-2 days hike to get there.
In Shuangqiao Valley
In Changping Valley
Yangmantai Lake is located in Changping Valley with a walking distance of about 25km in total from the entrance of Changping Valley. Yangmantai provides on of the best lake against mountain views in Mt. Siguniang where at its south is the Yaomei Peak and at its west is the Daogou-Chibu peaks and at its north the Yangmantai Peak.
Chibu Lake is located in Changping valley at the elevation of around 4600m. It is over 25km from the entrance of Changping Valley. Chibu Lake is named after Mt. Chibu, a hidden but beautiful mountain of Siguniang. Not many people have seen this lake so far.
Pomiu Lake is located in Changping Valley at the altitude of 4600 meters. It is about 20km's walk from the entrance of the Changpinggou Valley. Camping is required to go to this lake. This lake is rather isolated and no easy trail goes up to the lake therefore there are not many photos available of this lake. Pomiu Lake is named after the peak Mt. Pomiu and the lake is located west to the Pomiu mountain.
