Dengshenggou (Dengsheng Valley) is located in the Wolong Nature Reserve, at the foot of Balang Mountain. On the edge of the western Sichuan plateau. Dengshenggou is located in the middle of the mountainside of Balang Mountain at 5040 meters above sea level. Forests and alpine meadows are paradise for the national treasure giant pandas. They are designated as nature reserves by the state.
The end of April comes azalea season. There are more than 100 wild pandas living here, as well as other rare and endangered animals such as golden monkeys, takins, snow leopards, etc. which are listed on national protection list
Dengshenggou is the foot of the Balang Mountains and the entrance to the virgin forest is at 2800 meters. There is hotel here at Dengshenggou. There is only a highway maintenance station and an agricultural and forestry research station, but the agricultural and forestry research station can be used for lodging. Dengshenggou is still undeveloped, there are no tickets but there is an environmental protection fee of 30 yuan per person if you want to go in. This is more primitive and quieter than Pandagou and Zhenghegou in Wolong Panda Sanctuary. This place is also a place where Wolong's panda Xiangxiang is released back to the wild.
