Piles of Mani stones are another form of prayer in Tibetan Buddhism. Some piles with stones inscribed some are not. At Anigongma, which is 6km north to Tagong, there sits the second largest Mani Stone pile in eastern Tibet. The stones are piled up by local devoted Buddhists by hand. It is an amazing site of Tagong.
Not far from the Sidrog Nunnery(its mother temple) it's the huge Mani pile in the villege of Gerimah. This Mani stone pile claims to be the biggest one in Tibetan area. It is piled up with plates of stones. This pile simulates the Buddhist stupa with coverage of 324 sqaure meters and hieght of 15 meters. Surrounded by over 400 white stupas and praying flags, this pile is carved with over 1800 million of the six syllabled mantra "om mani padme hum". 28 columes of Tibetan Tripitaka are also kept in the Sigedro. This is the site of the Peace Prayer and other religious ceremonies. It can accommodate as more as 100 thousand people.
