How to set up Tianfu Health Code

This article is detailed guide on how to set up Tianfu Health Code (Tianfu Jiankangtong/?????).

What is Tianfu Health Code?

It's a personal QR Code that proves you are healthy and you use to go through checks at ariports, train stations, bus stations, shopping malls and checking hotels and tourist parks etc, in Sichuan Province during the pandemic. It is a widely recognized health proof by authorities in Sichuan at most places. You will be required to set it up the moment you land in Chengdu by plane, train, bus, etc since second half of 2022.

How to set up Tianfu Health Code

Step 01: Have Wechat on your phone and use wechat to scan the QR code[above] to the have sign up page as follows. (may need to scrow down)

Scroll down to the following and click in on the "declaration entry for foreign nationals"

You will be asked to log in usually with your currently phone number

A code will be sent to your phone to activate the use

Step 02: Fill in your personal Information.

Choose Foreigner under "Personnel Category"

Fill in other personal info including full name on passport and passport number. Usually it's the passport you use to register here. Make sure info you put in is correct.

And some people will get a green code right away after reauthentication and some will have the following page coming up.

Now click on "passport identification certification" and you'll have it as follows

Now upload or take a readable photo of your passport page. You will most likely have your green code right away and have a green QR code as follows..

If you have junior family memembers then they are attached to your code, you can press the "family" bottom and add info.

Note if you do this prior to your arrival to Chengdu and if where you are from (the city level or district level) has cases of covid then you will have an orange color (see below) that says "risk travel history". The orange color will disappear after you do your first test in Chengdu so no need to worry.

01. You may need to re-declare this when you change location or travel to other places outside of Chengdu.

02. At times you will be required to show your Tianfu Health Code by entering places such as hospitals, shopping malls, etc. You are recommended to do this on your wechat so to quickly find them when you need to use it. It is a wechat app looks like the following.
