Golden Snub-nose Monkey
It's not a reserve nor sanctuary it's not a zoo, it's a unenclosed area where golden snub nose monkeys are looesely kept by people in a relatively- small place for tourists to see. It is located within the Pingwu nature Reserve. It involves walking for around 20 to 30 minutes on paved stairs. This place is still in the wild with no human modification of forest or nature. You may have photos taken resembling monkeys in the wild. However, if you'd like to see/take photos of golden snub nose monkeys in the actual wild, then this may feel like cheating.
Entrance ticke to this place costs CNY60 per person, you may stay in there whole day. It starts to open by 9am and closes by around 4pm each day. You may go there before they open and stay there longer after they close if you are keen to take good photos of Golden Snub-nose Monkeys.
We recommend you to plan at least 2 days for this place if you start from Chengdu and then will have 2 half days inside this place. We also recommend you to include a visit to the neighboring Tangjiahe Nature Reserve to have more chances to see other wild life.
